Songdo Residential
LDGN developed the landscape architecture program and design for five apartment
blocks within Songdo City, a new Free Trade City with a proposed residential population
of 200,000, developed on landfill in the Sea of Korea.
These densely populated blocks, in an urban setting, required landscapes that meet the varying outdoor needs of the many residents. Each landscape was designed using distinctive design themes to create a sense of identity for each block. These designs successfully integrate the architecture and landscape into a stimulating outdoor environment for the enjoyment of the residents.
