Kips Bay
The Kips Bay Boys and Girls Annual Showhouse features remodels by the country’s leading
designers. LDGN was invited to design a narrow terrace wrapping a penthouse apartment.
Working on a tight schedule and budget, LDGN conceived a vibrant, playful, witty landscape that held many points of interest and allowed 25,000 visitors to move through effortlessly. The pattern and colors of the terrace furnishings complemented the interior’s intense color play and sophisticated surfaces. As a balance, a large Buddha sculpture is set serenely in a bamboo grove outside the dining room window.
The terrace was featured in many publications reviewing the success of this Kips Bay Showhouse.
